Terms of Service

Welcome and thanks for using CareerCafe.nl. These Terms of Service contain the terms and conditions that govern all use of our Platform and Services. Please read these terms carefully. By registering for, accessing, browsing and/or otherwise using the CareerCafe.nl service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, do not access, browse or otherwise use the Platform or Service.

These are the Terms for the Service called CareerCafe.nl, as part of Minds Capital, registered at the chamber of commerce of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), registrant number being 63091135 – through the url https://www.careercafe.nl.

Mission The mission of CareerCafe.nl is to make it easier to find a job you love, at a start-up or scale-up with a location in The Netherlands. At the same time, we want to make it easier for companies -startups and scale-ups to attract and hire the right talent to grow their business. In order to realize this, we offer a range of services through our Platform.

CareerCafe.nl acts as a venue for Employers to post job opportunities and is not involved in the actual transaction between Employers and candidates.


Registration -The means through which a Member has access to the Platform through Login credentials.

Content -Any data and information available through the CareerCafe.nl Service or contained within the Website, Platform, presentations, blogs, articles, documents, pictures, images or other informational materials.

Employer -An organisation using the Platform for recruitment and/or employer branding purposes.

Login credentials – A combination of a Member’s email address and password that gives the Member access to his/her Account.

CareerCafe.nl Materials  – The visual interfaces, graphics, design, systems, methods, information, computer code, software, services, “look and feel”, organisation, compilation of content, code, data and all other elements of the CareerCafe Services.

CareerCafe.nl Service – The Website, Platform, Content and all content, services and/or features available through the Platform.

Member – The natural person who has accepted these Terms.

Member Data – Files and any other digital data and information uploaded to the Platform by a Member

Platform – The CareerCafe application which is accessible via the Website or via our mobile applications.

CareerCafe.nl Service – The Website, Platform, Content and all content, services and/or features available through the Platform.

Website – the website which is available via the url https://careercafe.nl

Disagreement with these Terms In the event that you not agree with (parts of) these Terms, then you may submit a written request to CareerCafe.nl for different provisions. This can be done by sending an email to info@careercafe.nl.

Modification of these Terms CareerCafe.nl reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms by posting such changes on or through the Platform or the CareerCafe.nl Service. Please check these Terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the CareerCafe.nl Service after such changes have been posted (as provided above) constitutes your binding acceptance of such changes. Such amended Terms will automatically be effective upon the earlier of (i) your continued use of the CareerCafe.nl Service, or (ii) 30 days from posting of such modified Terms on or through the Platform. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the resolution of any dispute that arises between you and CareerCafe.nl will be governed by the Terms in effect at the time such dispute arose.

The platform and submission fee structure The CareerCafe.nl platform offers registration and listing of company profiles of start-ups and scale-ups and their jobs. Standard job postings are and remain free of charge; Featured job postings and job marketing campaigns will be charged, once the platform reaches the point of 1000 unique visitors per month. Actual job postings that are listed on the platform will remain free of charge.

Accurate and true information A Member warrants to CareerCafe.nl a guarantee that all the information that a Member has entered in the sign-up form and/or uploads to the Platform (Member Data) is accurate and true. If CareerCafe.nl has a valid reason to believe that the information that provided by a Member is incomplete, untrue, misleading or incorrect, then it is entitled to delete the information and if it so wishes, to terminate the Account of the concerning Member entirely.

User Submissions As a user, you are responsible for your Account information, content, messages or other information (“User Content”) that you submit, publish or display on the Web Site or transmit to other users.

The application process should be transparent and simple to navigate. Applications should be tied to the specific job that was posted and not a talent pool. The job description should make clear the job poster’s relationship to the end employer, and not through third-party recruiters. Applicant’s personal information gathered in the application process should be treated carefully within your company and never made available to third parties.

CareerCafe.nl acts as a passive conduit for the online distribution and publication of the User Content and has no obligation to screen communications in advance and is not responsible for screening or monitoring material posted by users. CareerCafe.nl reserves the right to archive the user content folders which were not being accessed for a period of 6 months or more by the relevant users after its last access. In such event users will be able to access the archive folders with minor limitations including but not limited to non-availability of the options of move to another folder, renew jobs associated with the said folders.

Confidentiality of a Member’s password A Member is responsible for the confidentiality of his/her password, which gives access to his/her Account. It is not allowed for a Member to grant access to his/her Account to any third party organisation under any circumstances.

Personal Account An Account is assigned to a designated individual person and is not transferable.

Termination of Account A Member may terminate his/her Account at any moment, by following the designated steps after clicking “Delete my profile” in the “Personal settings” section of the Platform. CareerCafe.nl will delete all Member Data following the termination of his/her Account.

Termination of Account by CareerCafe CareerCafe has the right to terminate a Member’s Account for no or any reason, at any time, with or without notice.

Restrictions of use of the platform A Member is not allowed to use the Website and/or Platform:

  1. For any unlawful cause;
  2. For any direct or indirect commercial purposes;
  3. In any way resulting in a diminished functionality of the Website or that may cause damage to the functionality of the Website or Platform;
  4. For spreading, sending or uploading computer viruses or other files or software that cause damage to the functionality of the Website or Platform, other Members and/or Employers;
  5. For spreading, sending or uploading material to the Platform that is slanderous, insulting, obscene or threatening of nature or that may lead to irritation, inconvenience or unnecessary commotion;
  6. To scrape, crawl or spider any data available on the Website or Platform; and/or
  7. In a way that results in an infringement of any right of any person or legal entity;

Communication Policies
When communicating with candidates, please be mindful of the following: 

Present a specific and relevant job The position being presented should be clearly stated and relevant to the candidates contacted. Your job should be a good fit for a candidate’s experience and career status. 

Include job details and identifying information Your message should include the job’s location, title, requirements, and compensation structure. If your message also includes a link, it should send candidates directly to the job information. Be sure to include the name of your company and its location as well as your name and title. Use your company email address, if possible.

Be considerate of candidate privacy Do not request sensitive information to be sent directly over a message. Please be considerate of candidate privacy while communicating on and throughout the hiring process.

Job URLs should be direct links Job URLs should lead to either an application process or a job description page that includes a direct link to the application process. Alternatively, a URL should lead to a log in or sign up page that immediately sends the job seeker to the application process or job description page.

Include detailed and accurate information A job post on CareerCafe a true job vacancy and should include the job title, a proper job description, the company’s name, and accurate and detailed information of where the job is physically located

Notification of Claimed Copyright Infringement If you believe that your copyrighted work has been uploaded, posted or copied to this platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us at info@careercafe.nl with the following information: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, and a description of the activity that you claim to be infringing;

Disclaimer of Consequential Damages In no event shall the company, its suppliers, or any third parties mentioned on the web site be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages, lost profits, or damages resulting from lost data or business interruption) resulting from the use or inability to use the web site and the material, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not the company is advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing law These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
