Officially established in 2016 by 5 visionaries with the dream to make this groundbreaking technology accessible to everyone, everywhere. In order to accelerate the transition towards a truly sustainable solution for mobility, we believe that it is necessary to completely rethink automotive design by starting from scratch, not limited by industry conventions.

Are you ready to join an ambitious team within a start-up environment and do you have affinity with sales and already have some commercial experience under your belt in relevant side jobs, previous internships or extracurricular activities? Then this internship is for you!

What will you do as an intern in the Sales Team?
You will be a full fledged and appreciated member of the team from the start. The mission of our team is to (pre-) sell the Lightyear One and to get the car under the attention of as many as possible potential customers / leads. We customize our approach to each potential buyer and are in the business of building lasting relationships with our customers. As an intern you will support the sales team in their sales initiatives. Amongst others delivering support in organizing webinars (to generate leads), liaison with the marketing team for lead targeting, analysis of the competitive environment (in Germany) and present findings of your research to internal stakeholders. sales internship

What do we expect from a Sales intern at Lightyear?

Are you an enthusiastic (HBO)/WO Bachelor or Masterstudent and do you have affinity with sales and already have some commercial experience under your belt in relevant side jobs, previous internships or extracurricular activities, then this internship is for you! We are looking for a commercial and assertive intern, with strong analytical power. Additionally, can you relate to the skills and characteristics as listed below?

  • Relevant prior experience (extra curricular,previous internship,side job)
  • Being organized and structured
  • Time and project management
  • Commercial mindset
  • Excellent writing in English
  • German is a plus
  • Persuasive, pro active, professional, responsible, reliable, enthusiastic, keen eye for detail, punctual, dare to ask

What do we offer?

Lightyear is at the start of a very exciting year with lots of milestones ahead. Our second, validation, prototype will hit the road in April, we are exploring a SPAC deal and the first deliveries will start at the end of the year. The company is growing rapidly and you could be part of it. Apart from your own responsibilities, you will receive guidance and mentoring with the possibility to convert your internship into a full time job by the end of it.

The internship allowance will be 340-400 euro per month (depending on phase of your studies BSc/MSc), and there is a travel reimbursement programme, in case you do not possess a OV-card (public transport card).
